Hello!

I have opened an account with fotolog, a type pf blog but with pictures instead. pretty cool, since Vince just bought a digital camera. My fotolog address is http://fotolog.net:8080/katiabuckner.

I tried to post last night, but blogger wasn't working at all.

I got my ticket!! Now everything is ready for me to go to Brazil. I mean, I still need to pack my things, but since most of my summer clothes are still there, there won't be much to pack. I am bringing some different chocolates and beers, and I will buy some biscuits to bring too. I am really looking forward to it. My brother Nelson wrote me days ago saying that they are going to have a carnival at home.... Kindof get together that my family always do. Anything is a good excuse to have a good time and have some fun too.

It's been very cold this week, and I wonder how bad it is going to be next week, because I didn't want to go travel carrying all these coats and scarf... Because when I get to Brazil it going to be sooo hot I am sure it will make me sick to carry them.

I bought a book to read during the flight. It's called "When the emperor was divine" and it's about a japanese family living in the US during the WWII. I know it will be a sad story and I am preparing myself to cry. And I know it will make me feel disgusted by the fact the oh so powerful USA can do such horrible things to their citzens, just because of their roots.

Anyways, I shall finish now and blog some more tonight.

Ok, I told you I was going to show what I've done for Valentine's for Vince. So click HERE to see it.

We had a very nice evening, even though we stayed in, and had chinese... Yesterday we went for a walk and had a very nice meal at Santa Fe, a mexican restaurant at the Mailbox. Food was good, weather too, and we had the view from the canals. And we were in love like teenagers. hehehe... Ah well, I better go now and do some house work.. urgh.

I can't believe it's almost the end of the month!

I've been trying to post here for ages!!!!! My server wasn't working properly so I coulnd't upload the things I wanted nor see my webpages. Now I can, and for some silly reason I don't remember what I wanted so much to post!!!!! GRRRRR!! I remember I wanted to post some pics of the snow we had recently (been snowing almost everyday here!), not enough to pile up on the streets tho. Shame. No meters of piled snow like in Toronto! Well gotta say I miss it, especially when here it gets so humid it freezes your bones. Ok here are some pics:

Morning...

We went to the movies last night. Watched City of God, the Brazilian movie I told you about. It was pretty good. and the pop corn was yummy!

Luciana has sent me some lovely cards and I shall post them when it's closer to valentine's day. Oh my, it's february already!! Can't believe how fast the days are going... I am on a countdown to my holidays anyways so the faster the better!! hehe!!

I noticed that the thingy i've done on the last post in missing like 3 or 4 questions!!! lol!! have no idea where they went! Ah well, I think theres enought there anyways :)

I woke up with a headache this morning...how annoying! When I realised I was awake my head started to hurt like anything.

I dunno what we are going to do today. Prolly lazy around and go somewhere later. We have to go grocer shopping sometime too. I am into a croissant eating mode these days... All I want to eat are croissants. hehehe..

Ok, I am going to do some cleaning so we can go out later on. See you ppl.
