I am back from Brazil!

We had a lovely time there. The weather was hot, but not too hot, and many days we had English weather, with lots of cloudy skies and rain. I told Vince he brought the English weather with him!!

I haven't done much apart from eating, staying with my family and shopping. Oh, of course I've done my nails, and cut my hair and had almost my whole body waxed.. LOL! I told my hair stylist that I should go back to Brazil every year to have my hair cut, my nails done and my body waxed. He asked me about the rest of the year. I told him I'd look pretty bad... lol... nails to be done, hairy and with no hair cut...

Oh I brought many of my stuff with me. Not all of it, cos it's impossible and I have no space here to put all that junk!! - junk I love by the way - My fridge magnets, clothes, my wedding album (beautiful!), my shooooooes, my purses, etc etc etc.

I will be uploading the pics slowly at my fotolog, prolly once per day. One is there already. I wanted to do it from Brazil, but for some reason my brother's computer didn't like my blogs nor my fotolog, hence the lack of posts and pics.

I will write more soon and tell you a bit more about what we've done and seen and bought. For now take care, cos I have to go out soon.

The week went very fast! Must have been the carnaval, that made the weekend last till wednesday midday (Ash Wednesday). Then the year starts here, when you find out who was the winner at the carnaval parade, and when you start working for real.

I've been eating very well, thank you very much, thanks to my mom, a sweety that cooks whatever I might want to eat!! She baked a carrot cake yesterday that is just too good. Mind you, I just cannot think about losing weight here.

I went to have lunch with a friend yesterday, and we went to a japanese restaurant we used to go when we worked together. Very good. I miss those lunch breaks here. Mainly because you actually eat, not burgers or chips, but real food.

Of course I did some shopping too. Had to buy something for Vince, because today is his birthday, and also I bought some stuff for me that I either couldn't find any similar in England, or because its just better/cheaper here. I am amazed how much the Pounds are worth here. A LOT. So that I can exercise my shopping skills. lol.

Apart from that I have been just talking to everyone and relaxing. It feels so different here. I like it, but I think I like it better because I am on vacations. I am not sure that I would like it this much if I had to live and work here. Ah well, we are never satisfied with what we have. There's always something we'd rather have it differently or in another way.

I can't complain. I am feeling complete now. I got my share of family life so that makes me very happy. It's good to know that some things never change. And family love is something solid, something that does not fade with distance or absence.
